THIS IS THE NIGHT YOU DREAM OF
To the Art & Mischief Makers,
This is a call for artists and performers to join us this Thursday from 7pm to 9pm at Subtonic at 107 Norfolk St. for the planning of the street party First Warm Night. Imagine an un-permitted roving renegade explosion of music and performance, flaming hula-hoops, melting ice cream, wanton stilt walkers, delicate poster art, battling brass bands, renegade sound systems, fireworks and rockets, impulsive performance, a city of dreamers at play beside calm waters, within canyons of concrete, amidst shadows of steel.
This is the night you dream of.
Dozens of motivated event makers have been working the past few weeks to lay the groundwork. We have a plan of action (and plans B, C, and D), we have locations scouted and ideas sprouting, we have a fist full of dollars and infrastructure set. We have performers of whimsy and makers of wicked but we want more. We want you.
This is the night you dream of.
This Thursday from 7pm to 9pm join us at Subtonic at 107 Norfolk Street at Delancy in the Lower East Side. We will introduce the full concept of the event and will review the logistics we have set. Then we break into work groups including, sound crew, live music performance, electronic performance, non-music performance, video projections, poster art, interactive art, promotion, logistics, bar-b-que crew, team: shock/awe, and others we may discover. This is for all you experienced street aficionados to bring your talents and inspiration into a massive collaborative project. But more than anything this is for those of you who have never been involved in something like this, a taste of building a movement outside of boundaries.
This is the night you dream of.
Other details: This event is intended to be on the first truly *warm night* of the year. We have had some warm days but the nights haven't yet reached the threshold we are looking for. But this event isn't about temperature, it is about you and me in the street and we will take our chance when it comes. To learn more about the timeline and the plethora of groups already involved come to the meeting: Thursday 7pm to 9pm (or so) At Subtonic (below Tonic) @ 107 Norfolk Street, Surrounded by construction just north of Delancey on the Lower East Side. Take the F or J,M,Z trains to Delancey St. and you are right there.

so yeah, this thing sounds pretty alright.
no big deal about capones, by the by, the only thing you missed were some half naked girls dressed like wonder woman (their super power was coming off awkward and filled with regret about mixing free pizza and shooters for disco dancing fuel.)
the main draw was getting some free red stripe into my distiguished broke ass, and watching Q put a girl he just met into a sleeper choke hold completely by accident.
"big hug"
his damn arms are registered weapons.
