Women's Liberation Birth Control Project Summer Feminist Film Series Monday, June 13th @ 6:30pm Feminist Film Screening FUNDI: THE LIFE OF ELLA BAKER A Film by Joanne Grant WOMEN: join us in viewing the documentary FUNDI. Fundi is a Swahili word for a person who passes down skills from one generation to the next. In this instance we celebrate the beloved Fundi, Ella Baker, who played such an instrumental role in the Civil Rights Movement. Following the screening there will be a discussion about the roots of the Women’s Liberation Movement in the Civil Rights Movement and the lessons we can take from Ella Baker and the Civil Rights Movement for our Women’s Liberation organizing today.
