so. last night was the best party ever. the most incredible cathartic, deeply spectacular, exciting, raw, uncynical expression of art joy to be had. i am so so deeply grateful to swoon for her incredible work and for being one of the most giving, caring, fun and inspiring people i've ever known. we love you, girl. this show was such a deep labor of love and the opening was the best possible celebration of its completion. highlights included japanther playing in a truck with a generator and not getting shut down by the cops, a david byrne sighting, an orlan sighting and a tunde from tv on the radio sighting. it was also the biggest best party ever with performances by matt & kim and poorboy johnson and the goddamn rattlesnake. man. i'm still reeling. here are some rad pics zipco took.
