also, as a follow up to DMBQ's tragedy yesterday, an albatross is playing tonight's show as a benefit. this from their LJ:
in lieu of the current situation, we had originally cancelled the remainder of the tourdates upon recieving the tragic news. however, we feel it is important to bring our people together to get through this, and generate suppourt for DMBQ. it would mean so very much to all of us if you came out tonite and joined us in this crucial time.

If you are interested in seeing the vessel and/or trying out the hammock, just come down to the Carroll Street bridge over the canal during a Work Day and yell. It's just 4 blocks from the Carroll stop on the F train. For directions by train: www.hopstop.com. The bridge is close to the intersection of Bond and Carroll.
