SO THERE WAS THIS BUS, AND PART OF IT HIT ME ON FRIDAY.

and that totally sucked! i was coming up very slowly alongside a curb at broadwway and 14th st. on the way to my eye appt. i'm slowly passing a parked bus as i get ready to get off my bike and lock up. before i know it, the back door of the bus flies open and throws me off my bike. then while i'm down the bus driver starts cursing and screaming at me that it was my fault. i thought it was really mean ands inappropriate that she was cursing and screaming at me and she obviously didn't care about endangering cyclists at all. so i call 311 to report it and they transfer me to 911 and they guy on the phone is like "do you need an ambulance?" and i'm like, "i think i'm okay, it doesn't hurt too bad and i can deal with this myself later, and i don't need an ambulance" so he makes me tell the EMS that on the phone. this whole time the driver is screaming at me and saying "i'm going to need to see your drivfer's license and write down your information." and i'm like "no. you hit me with your bus, you curse and scream at me and act crazy. i'm just not going to give you my license. the police and the MTA have my information and yours too. goodbye." and she gets out of the bus and follows me. and keeps demanding my license and information which i am absolutely not going to hand over to her. so then a few minutes later i walk into my eye store and this fdny emt chief guy comes in lookin for a cyclist who got hit by a bus, so i walk out and there are 7 first responder fire dep't guys there. they tell me to wait for the ambulance i asked them not to send. the ambulance arrives and the police and the bus driver's supervisor. the bus driver has been freaking out fuming and screaming at me every chance she gets this whole time. so i have to fill out a police report and a medical report and get my vitals checked and sign something saying i didn't need to go to the hospital. it was really overkill. but then of course i woke up with a swollen knee and had to cancel my bike ride through rockaway. meh.
